1. Who we are
Calc Dragon (the "site") is operated as a personal project. References to "we", "us" and "our" mean the operator of Calc Dragon. You can reach us at hello@calcdragon.com.
2. Information we collect
We try to collect as little as possible. Specifically:
- Inputs you type into calculators are processed in your browser. We do not send them to our servers and we do not store them.
- Anonymous usage analytics (page views, country, referrer, device type) via Vercel Web Analytics. It uses session-scoped, anonymised identifiers — not cross-site cookies, not anything that ties a visit back to you. Aggregated data only.
- Google AdSense is loaded site-wide for review and (once approved) ad serving. AdSense and its partners set cookies for ad measurement and fraud detection. We are working on a Consent Mode banner so EU/UK visitors can opt in or out before these cookies fire — until that ships, you can block them with your browser's tracking-protection setting or an extension like uBlock Origin.
- Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) kept by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention. These are deleted on a rolling basis.
We do not run user accounts, newsletters, or contact forms unless this page is updated to say otherwise. We do not sell or rent any data.
3. Cookies and consent
Strictly necessary cookies (e.g. remembering your cookie choice) are always set. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you consent via the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the site's cookies in your browser and reloading the page.
4. Third-party services
We rely on the following third parties; their own privacy policies apply to data they receive:
- Vercel — site hosting, edge networking, and Web Analytics (privacy-first, no cross-site cookies).
- Google AdSense — advertising (in review pending approval; the loader script is live so ads can serve immediately once approved).
- Affiliate networks (such as Awin) — when you click an affiliate link, the destination site may receive a referral identifier so we get credit for the introduction.
5. Affiliate disclosure
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not change the maths in any calculator and they do not change the recommendations or examples we publish.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA or similar laws — including the right to ask what data is held about you, to ask for it to be deleted, and to withdraw consent. Because we don't hold accounts and don't tie analytics to identifiable users, in practice the most effective way to exercise these rights is to clear cookies and stop using the site. 7. Calculators are for guidance only
Every calculator on Calc Dragon is provided as a general educational tool. It is not professional advice. Specifically, no output from this site constitutes financial, tax, legal, medical, engineering, nutritional, veterinary or other professional advice.
Calculators are simplifications. They cannot account for every rule, edge case, jurisdiction, exception or change in regulation that may apply to your situation. Tax tables, interest rates, conversion factors, allowances and similar inputs change over time and may be out of date. Before you act on any number you see here — particularly any decision involving money, health, safety, or contracts — you must verify the result with a qualified professional and with up-to-date official sources.
By using any calculator, you accept that you are responsible for checking the inputs, the assumptions, and the result before relying on them. You use the site at your own risk.
8. No warranty
The site and every calculator, article, and other piece of content on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to: warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and freedom from errors or defects.
We do not warrant that any calculator is correct, current, complete, appropriate for your jurisdiction, or suitable for any specific use. Mathematical, programming, data and design errors can and do occur. If you spot one, please email us so we can fix it — but the existence of any error does not give rise to any claim against us.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we, our operators, contributors, and suppliers will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the site or any calculator, article or other content, including without limitation:
- loss of profits, revenue, savings, opportunity, or goodwill;
- financial loss, tax penalties, fines, or interest charges resulting from acting on any output;
- loss arising from a calculator producing an incorrect, outdated, rounded, or misinterpreted result;
- loss arising from third-party content, advertisements, or affiliate destinations linked from the site;
- damage to data, devices, or business operations; or
- any loss arising from reliance on any number, statement, or example on this site without independent professional verification.
Where any liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability for any and all claims relating to the site is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us to use the site (which, for the avoidance of doubt, is normally zero) or (b) GBP £10. Nothing in this notice excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, liability, demand, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) made by any third party arising out of your use of the site or your breach of these terms.
11. Changes
We may update this page from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
12. Governing law
This page and any dispute relating to the site are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where local consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction.
